Discovery Sprints

In Sprint Three, students worked together to design and host the Discovery Sprint exhibition, which included their graduation. The exhibition showcased all the projects and process work from the Sprints and displayed them alongside animations and videos that explored the students’ hopes and dreams.

Exhibition Design

Process

Designing the exhibition involved multiple activities: banner design, exhibition displays, photographic shoots, videoing, NRL football display, jersey modelling, as well as exhibiting group process journeys. Two exhibition leaders from each of the four teams led decisions about the best way to exhibit their journey through the Discovery Sprints.

The groups collectively designed and created 12 banners spelling out Sa’ili le ala, and built and painted stands on which to exhibit their work. The students were photographed and their portraits displayed in the exhibition. The exhibition concluded with a graduation ceremony. The exhibition was an important aspect of the Discovery Sprints. It enabled the students to see all the work they had completed and how the projects formed a coherent design entity.
